I bought a cheap band saw blade sharpener for the shop and it cost me a full day's work.

It was a $80 tool from an online ad that promised quick sharpening. The guide was junk and I ruined three blades before I gave up and had to order new ones. What's a sharpener you guys actually trust for daily use?

Sounds like that sharpener was the real dull tool.

Oh perfect, the classic "spend money to lose money" tool strategy. My buddy bought one of those and the alignment guide was so bad it sharpened a perfect curve into his blade. Looked more like a bread knife than anything for wood.

Been there. I grabbed a similar one from a big box store, and the clamp wouldn't hold the teeth straight. Ngl, it turned a simple job into a huge mess. I only trust the old Foley-Belsaw manual jig now, it's slow but never lets me down.
