Is it smarter to buy cheap power banks twice or one good one that lasts?
Had a talk with my coworker Dave last Friday during lunch. He saw me charging my phone off a $12 power bank from the gas station and started laughing. Said I was throwing cash at something that'll die in 3 months, but also said the $60 ones are a scam too. He swears by just carrying two cheap ones and replacing them when they fail. I've had the opposite luck though, my $45 Anker from 2021 is still going strong after daily use, and the cheap one I bought in March already won't hold a charge past 40%. So which is the real play here? Do you guys rotate budget banks or spend once and hope for years? Curious if my one expensive bank was just a lucky draw or if the cheap route is actually smarter long term.

March 2021 with daily use and still kicking? That Anker sounds like a unicorn, not the norm.
