Bought a 10-pack of 3ft cables, only one survived 4 months

Cheap cables from the gas station. Paid $12 for ten. They all worked at first. Then my kid bent one at the connector. Another one started sparking in my truck. Now only the one wrapped in electrical tape still charges my phone at half speed. I gave up and grabbed a 6ft Anker on sale for $13. Been two months, zero issues. Anyone else done the math on cheap vs one decent cable?

Three bucks a cable bought me a phone that charges sideways, so yeah, the math is done.
