Thought I needed a fancy notebook for bujo, turns out a $2 composition book works better
I spent like 6 months using a $30 Leuchtturm and it honestly stressed me out. Every mistake felt like I ruined it. Then my kid grabbed it and spilled juice on it and I had to trash it. Picked up a plain composition book from the grocery store for 2 bucks and it's so much better. No ghosting issues, pages lay flat enough, and I don't care if I mess up. Anyone else find cheaper notebooks actually make you more relaxed about journaling?

Did your kid ever use it for doodles after that? My buddy went through the same thing with a Moleskine, his cat knocked it in the sink and he switched to a cheap spiral and said it was the best thing that happened to his journaling.

Did the spiral actually hold up better than the Moleskine in the long run, @richard_hall? I feel like cheap notebooks can fall apart fast, but maybe the tradeoff is worth it if you actually use it more. Curious if your buddy stuck with it or went back to a pricier one.
