My journal looked like a mess last Tuesday but it was my best day in months

I usually spend an hour each Monday making my weekly spread perfect. Last week, my kid got sick so I just scribbled three tasks for Tuesday on a blank page. I ended up getting all three done, plus two more I added during the day. The simple list kept me focused instead of overwhelmed by my usual detailed layout. I haven't gone back to my old system since. Has anyone else found that a simpler setup actually works better for busy weeks?

Ever try a blank page with just three things you have to do?

Read about a study where people wrote down three daily tasks. They finished more than those with longer lists. Keeping it simple actually works.

Honestly, it's just writing stuff down. People act like it's some life changing system but it's just a short list. Doubt it matters if it's three things or five if you actually want to do them.
