TIL a $12 fan splitter fixed my worst build headache

Three years ago I put together a rig with 6 fans in a tight NZXT case and ran each one straight to the board, which meant re-routing half the rats nest every time I swapped a part. Last week I grabbed a cheap PWM splitter and now it's one clean line from the bottom, plus my temps actually stay flat, so why did I fight the old way for so long?

Honestly, I feel this so hard. I did the exact same thing with my build, six fans all plugged into the board and it looked like a spider that died on the job. It took me way too long to realize the splitter just cleans everything up, and now I barely touch the inside unless I really have to. That flat temp thing is real too, I think the fans just run smarter when they're not fighting each other.
