My buddy zip tied his AIO tubes to the 24 pin and I can't stop thinking about it
Helped a friend move his rig into a new case over the weekend here in Sacramento and he bunched his AIO tubes, front panel wires, and 24 pin into one big zip tie bundle so it looked like a single fat snake. I told him it's fine until he needs to swap a fan, and sure enough we had to cut the whole thing apart twice just to reroute one cable. So what's the move, do you guys bundle everything for the clean look or leave some slack so you're not redoing it every time you touch the thing?
A guy I worked with did the same thing with his AIO tubes and the front panel stuff, one giant zip tie near the top of the case. Looked great in photos, right up until his pump started making noise and we had to pull it out. Took us way longer than it should have because every wire was trapped in that one bundle. We ended up cutting three ties and still had to wiggle everything around for twenty minutes. Now he runs the tubes loose with just a velcro strap in one spot so he can move stuff without tearing the whole thing down. Bundling looks clean but it bites you later, so I keep the tubes and the 24 pin separate and only tie the small stuff that never moves.
