Took my lunch to work 5 days a week for 2 months and my grocery bill dropped from $480 to $290
I used to grab something near the shop almost every shift, usually $11 to $14 with a drink, and it never felt like much in the moment. Starting in January I made a big pot of something on Sundays and portioned it into 5 containers, and after 8 weeks my card statement showed $290 on groceries instead of the usual $480. It helps that our break room has a working microwave, because cold sandwiches got old by day 4. Anyone else find that one Sunday cooking session is what makes or breaks the whole thing? I keep falling back on the same 3 meals, so I would love some cheap ideas that reheat well.
