My dad said to track every coffee shop trip for a month
He told me to write down each one, even the three dollar drip coffees. I did it last month and it added up to over eighty bucks. I started making a big pot at home and only go out on Fridays now. Has anyone else cut back on something small that made a real difference?

Tracking every little expense can really open your eyes. Did the same thing with buying lunch at work every day. It was crazy how much it added up over a month. Started packing leftovers and making simple sandwiches instead. The savings went straight into a jar for a weekend trip. What small spending did you find easiest to give up?

Remembered how much I spent on those fancy coffee shop drinks every morning. It was like five bucks a day just for caffeine with syrup in it. Bought a cheap French press and a bag of good beans instead. The taste is actually better now and I make it in two minutes. That habit was surprisingly easy to drop once I saw the monthly total.
