I quit rounding every bill up to the next dollar and my budget finally works
For years I padded every category by a few dollars for safety, which sounds smart until you realize I was hiding $60 to $80 a month from myself in fake buffer. Now I assign every dollar a real job on the 1st and keep a flat $200 buffer line, and we paid off the washer in 4 months instead of 9. Does anyone else keep a real buffer line, or do you just round up and hope?
