Bought the $4 store brand coffee instead of my usual $12 bag, and my pride took the hit

Money was tight two weeks ago so I stood in the aisle at Kroger doing math on my phone. The fancy bag was $12, the plain red can was $4, and I went with the can because I told myself coffee is coffee. First morning it tasted like hot dirt, but by day four I actually got used to it, so now I have this weird problem where my taste buds sold out for 8 dollars a week. My wife says I look sad at breakfast every day, which is fair. Has anyone found a cheap brand that doesn't taste like it was brewed through a sock?
