That $18 airport sandwich in Reykjavik finally broke me
Landed in Iceland last month after a red eye and got hit with an $18 turkey sandwich at the terminal. I paid it because I was wiped, then watched the same sandwich sell for about $5 at the Bonus grocery store a mile from my hostel. Now I pack a full meal in my carry on, jerky, almonds, a couple apples, and I eat it in the plane before we land. It saves me $40 to $60 per trip and I am not starving while I wait for my bags. What is your go to no hassle food to bring through security?
