Just realized the $5 hostel dorm I stayed in back in 2016 is now $34 a night
Was poking around Hostelworld for a trip to Lisbon and pulled up the same place I crashed at near Rossio Square back in 2016. It was 5 euros a night then, bunk bed, shared bathroom down the hall, and now the same room lists at 34 euros. Feels like every cheap spot got hip and the price followed. Anyone else notice their old go-to budget stays tripling, or is it just the spots I picked?
