Found an old Harbor Freight cutoff wheel in the dirt, used it to fix my neighbor's brake line
I was digging up a weed in my yard in Tucson and found a rusty cutoff wheel buried near the fence. Figured why not, threw it on my angle grinder and it cut through the rusted line on my neighbor's '92 Civic like butter. We got the whole job done for $8 in fittings and a can of PB Blaster, anyone else ever get lucky with junk parts like that?

That rusty wheel finding is solid proof that tools don't care about looks, they just need to bite. I've pulled old blades and bits out of my grandpa's garage that looked rough but cut better than anything new from the store. Half the battle with rusted parts is just having something sharp enough to get started, so finding that wheel was pure luck on your side.
