Vent: peel and stick tile was my biggest money sink
I spent $180 on that stuff for my kitchen backsplash in Austin and it looked great for about 6 weeks. Then the corners curled and steam from cooking made edges peel right off. A buddy who does rentals pointed out that real tile, even with basic thinset, costs less per square foot when you factor in redoing it twice. Has anyone else found that the "temporary" options end up costing more than doing it right the first time?
