Two coats of cheap paint saved my ugly hallway
I grabbed a $28 gallon of Walmart satin finish in a warm gray and rolled it over our beige hallway last Saturday. The difference between one coat and two was huge, the second coat killed all the patchy spots and made the narrow space feel wider. It took about 3 hours total including drying time, and I still had half a gallon left for touch ups. Has anyone else had luck with paint colors making a small room look bigger?

Our hallway got the same treatment, light gray made it feel taller somehow. Second coat is where the magic happens, no doubt. Warm colors just shrink a space, so you picked right.
