Stripping old wallpaper took me 3 days and a hot glue gun trick

Rented a steamer and thought I'd be done in one afternoon, but the stuff from the 80s was fused to the wall like it was painted on. After two miserable days of scraping, I finally tried warming the paper with a hair dryer and then pressing a hot glue gun tip underneath to lift the edge. That single trick pulled up strips that had been mocking me, and I finished the last wall in under 2 hours. Anybody else have a stubborn wallpaper battle that made you question your whole sanity? What ended up working for you?
