Peeled wallpaper instead of repainting, saved $140 and my back
I always thought tearing off old wallpaper was a nightmare, but my neighbor showed me a $6 steamer from the thrift store and it came off in sheets over a weekend. Who knew that was easier than two coats of primer and paint? Anyone else converted to stripping instead of covering?

That steamer trick sounds like a lifesaver, and honestly, good for you for skipping the paint marathon. Wallpaper stripping is SO much less awful than people make it out to be.
