My mom's comment about my stew forced a change
Last month she said my chili was 'filling but forgettable'. I started cooking dried beans instead of canned and adding a bay leaf during simmer. It costs about $1.50 less per pot and actually has some flavor now. Anyone else get hit with a blunt family critique that fixed their recipe?
