I still remember the day I bought my first "ergonomic" trowel that promised perfect grip. It was a $35 Margherita that felt like holding a wet fish in a glove. The handle was too thick for my hand, and my wrist started hurting after 10 minutes of tiling. I ended up switching back to my old beat-up Marshalltown that I'd filed down the handle edges with sandpaper. That cheap trowel lasted me 8 years without any issues. Lesson learned: never trust the fancy marketing over how it actually fits your hand.

Yeah, I feel you. Nothing beats a tool that's been broken in to your hand, no matter how much they charge for the new stuff.
