I used to name my plants after famous scientists, but after my fern 'Darwin' died for the third time, I switched to naming them after my exes.

Wait, you had three different ferns all named Darwin and they all died? That's some seriously bad luck with plants. Naming them after exes is a pretty dark turn, but I guess it makes sense if they're also not going to stick around.

Right?! @lisa839, you get it. Honestly, naming them after exes was my way of trying to reverse the curse, but I guess some things just aren't meant to live.
