That time I glued my fingers to a book cloth mid-project in Denver

I was rebacking a 1920s novel at my kitchen table and reached for the PVA without realizing my hand was already coated, next thing I know the whole cloth strip is stuck to my palm and the book is dangling off my knuckles. Took 20 minutes of warm water and a butter knife to get free, has anyone else had a glue mishap ruin a perfectly good afternoon?

Every project I've ever done has a glue, paint, or tape moment that turns the whole thing into a two-hour problem, lol.
