Hit 50 books this year and it totally flipped my reading habits

I always thought I was a slow reader who only enjoyed literary fiction. But after finishing my 50th book last week (a cozy mystery set in a small Vermont town), I realized I actually love mixing genres. That number surprised me because I never tracked my reading before, and seeing it in black and white made me want to try even more variety. Has anyone else hit a surprising milestone that changed what they pick up next?

@matthew_owens9 I read one book in three months once, a giant biography on Eleanor Roosevelt, and it made me hate biographies forever.

50 books" sounds like a flex but okay, guess I'll just stare at my one book for three months then.
