My wife watched me set up Ticket to Ride and asked why I was arranging trains by color like a weirdo
She pointed out that sorting all 45 plastic trains into neat little color piles before anyone else even sits down makes new players feel like they walked in on a surgery. Now I just dump them in the middle and let people dig, and our game nights with the neighbors have gone way smoother. Does anyone else have a setup habit that freaks out the casual crowd?
