I hit 200 plays on a single game and it got me thinking about depth vs variety

So I just noticed my plays logged for Race for the Galaxy hit exactly 200 on BGG. That's wild because I've got friends who say playing a game more than 10 times is a waste when there's so many new ones to try. But the other side is games like Race have serious strategic depth that only shows up after dozens of plays. Do you think hitting a big number on one game means you're missing out, or are you actually getting more out of the hobby?

Ten times and you're done? Sounds like my cousin who "beats" a game by reading the rulebook and declaring victory. 200 plays on Race is impressive, not a cry for help. Stuck with Race myself when everyone else was jumping between new games every week. It took maybe 50 plays before I stopped making the same rookie mistakes with military strategies (you know, the ones that look great on paper but always lose to produce/consume). Still pull it out sometimes and find new combos, so 200 plays sounds about right for a game that rewards sticking around.
