Demo at the Indiana State Fair got me to finally stop striking cold steel
Honestly, I was at the blacksmith demo near the Pioneer Village at the Indiana State Fair back in August and the guy pulled a bar out of the fire at maybe 1,600 degrees and it moved like butter, and I had been hammering on gray steel for two years before that, so how warm are you all letting your stock get before the first hit?
