Bought a $400 power hammer attachment and it was a waste of money

I got one of those table top power hammer attachments for my anvil from a online shop last month. After three days of fighting with it, the linkage snapped and it barely hits harder than a hand hammer. Anyone else tried one of these and had better luck with a different brand?

Ray said it right, scrap metal beats store bought junk every time.

Bought one of those years ago from a different maker and had it break on me within a week. Ended up just building a simple treadle hammer out of scrap metal and an old car spring. Works way better than those fancy attachments.
