Shelled out $60 for that crime doc everyone raves about, total snoozefest

Bought the 4K box set of that 'must watch' true crime series after seeing it hyped all over Reddit, and I fell asleep twice by episode 3 of 8. The pacing is glacial and they stretch one interview into three episodes, anyone else feel like these docs are just padding for streaming ads?

That sounds so frustrating, especially after dropping that much money on a box set. Getting burned like that really stings when everyone online swore it was amazing. Those shows do seem to drag one story across way too many episodes just to keep you subscribed. My husband jokes that half of these docs are just long ads with a mystery tacked on. You are not alone in feeling let down by the hype machine.

Bought a whole box set once because Reddit swore it was life changing and I barely made it through episode three before falling asleep. My wallet still hasn't forgiven me for that one.
