Picked The Wire over Sopranos back in 2008 and my buddy still brings it up at every cookout
Back in college my roommate had the first three seasons of both on DVD and I only had two free weeks before summer classes started. I went with The Wire because a guy in my dorm said season 4 was about the schools, and that hooked me more than mob stuff at the time. I tore through all five seasons in about 11 days, staying up till 3am on a Tuesday to finish the finale. My roommate picked Sopranos and gave me grief for months, saying I skipped the show that started it all. Funny thing is, streaming has made this kind of choice way less stressful since you can just flip to the other one whenever. I finally watched Sopranos two winters ago and yeah, it's great, but I don't regret my pick. Which one would you have grabbed with only two weeks and no way to watch both?
