Shoutout to the retired mechanic who talked me through fixing a frozen derailleur at a rest stop in Kansas last summer
He pulled over in his beat-up pickup, handed me a can of WD-40, and said, 'Slow down, you're fighting the bike instead of listening to it,' and I still think about that every time I touch a cable housing.

Kinda wish he'd come organize my garage honestly. Mine's just held together by half-empty beer cans and broken dreams at this point.
