Shoutout to the customer who brought in a 1992 Trek 930 with a seized seatpost

This week was a real grind, but Thursday turned it around. A guy walked in with this old mountain bike, the seatpost was totally stuck. He said three other shops told him it was junk. We spent about two hours on it, using a ton of penetrating oil, a big bench vise, and a cheater bar on the frame. When it finally let go with this huge crack, the whole shop cheered. The look on his face was worth it. He rode it out of here. Anyone else get that kind of win from a 'lost cause' bike?

Seems like a lot of fuss for an old bike...

Reminds me of my uncle's garage, full of projects he swears are worth fixing up lol. That old bike probably has some wild stories.

How much you wanna bet that seatpost was holding the whole bike together?
