I finally figured out a solid fix for those creaky press-fit bottom brackets after a customer brought in a Trek Madone last Tuesday.

Honestly, I cleaned the shell with isopropyl, applied a thin layer of Permatex 51813 anaerobic sealant to the cups, and torqued them to 40 Nm, which has held quiet for over 3 months now, so has anyone else found a better long-term solution for this?

I used to feel the same way about it. Then I saw how much joy it brought my neighbor's kid, which was pretty cool. Changed my whole view on the thing.
