Am I the only one who thinks torque wrenches are overrated for bottom brackets

My dad's garage has a torque wrench that's been sitting in the same spot for 15 years and he still swears by it for every single bolt. People love having a special tool for a job because it FEELS more official, even when a regular wrench would do the same thing. Bottom brackets aren't rocket science, snug plus a little extra has worked fine for decades.
