A customer's comment about my cable routing changed my whole approach
Last Tuesday a guy in his 60s watched me run a shift cable and said 'you're fighting the housing, not guiding it,' so I stopped forcing the curve and let it take its natural line, and now my installs look cleaner and shift smoother, has anyone else had a random customer point out something obvious you'd been missing for years?

That 'fighting the housing, not guiding it' line hits hard, I've spent 15 years wrestling cables like they owe me money. My last build probably looked like I was arm-wrestling the bike, not working on it.
