The $18 coupon stack that took me 4 hours to figure out
I spent a whole Sunday trying to stack a store coupon, a manufacturer coupon, and a cashback app on one order of cat litter and protein bars. The fine print kept contradicting itself, and the cashback app wouldn't even recognize my receipt because the store printed it weird. After 4 hours and three failed attempts at the customer service desk, I gave up and just paid full price for the litter. Anyone else ever waste an afternoon on a 'deal' that ended up being barely $2 off?

The "fine print kept contradicting itself" part is what gets me every time. My buddy drove 40 minutes to a store because a cashback app said he'd get $12 back on laundry soap, only to find out the app meant the name brand and he'd grabbed the store brand. He tried to swap it at the register, but the sale price had already rung up wrong, so the whole thing turned into a 20 minute ordeal over about $4. He still talks about it like it was a life lesson.
