Spent 45 minutes fighting a coupon app over $3 off dish soap, and I still paid full price
Last Tuesday I grabbed a $3 off coupon for dish soap at the Kroger on 5th, but the app kept saying the item didn't qualify even though the tag right under it said it did. I stood there reloading the page, restarting my phone, and even re-scanned the barcode twice before a worker scanned her own phone and got it to work in 2 seconds. Is it just me, or are these store apps getting worse every single month?

My friend Dana had the same thing happen at a Safeway in Portland about three weeks ago. She spent close to half an hour on a $2 off toothpaste coupon while her ice cream melted in the cart. The cashier finally told her to just show the paper tag next time because the app scans wrong half the time. It feels like they keep pushing these apps out before they even work right.
