I tracked every grocery price at my Aldi in Tulsa for 6 months and the receipt total went down $47 a month
So I got bored last July and started writing down the price of the 15 things I buy most at Aldi in Tulsa. Bread, eggs, milk, the frozen pizza my kid lives on, that kind of stuff. For the first 3 months the total barely moved, then in October the receipt for the same cart dropped from $118 to $71 and I thought the register was broken. Turns out they had quietly swapped the chicken I buy to a store brand and cut the price almost in half, and the eggs came down too. Anyone else keep a price log, or am I the only weirdo with a notebook full of grocery math?
