Saw a stat that 40% of barbers in a survey said they got into the trade because of a family member

Read it in a trade magazine at the supply house yesterday... always thought most people just fell into it. Anyone else the first in their family to cut hair?

My uncle tried to cut my hair once and that's why I'm not in that 40%.

Honestly @rowank69, I get where you're coming from, but a bad home cut just makes you appreciate a good barber more. Tbh it's worth finding someone you trust to get it right. That one bad experience shouldn't keep you from getting a solid haircut.
