PSA: Setting a weekly blade change made my shop days better
I kept using blades until they were really dull. This caused pulling and slow fades. Now I switch them out every Friday before closing. My cuts are sharper and take half the time. A client even mentioned how painless his trim was. I spend less time fixing mistakes. Feels good to have one less thing to worry about.
Routine changes even help clients trust your process more. Like @hunt.pat said about cleaner fades, a fresh blade just feels more predictable and professional to people in your chair. That consistency is what keeps them coming back.
Yeah, perry.caleb's point about consistency keeping clients coming back is spot on. I used to think frequent blade changes were overkill, but trying a set schedule like OP did totally changed my view. Now my cuts are smoother and clients notice the difference too.
