Dropped $75 on a cheap clipper blade set and it ruined my whole day

Tbh I thought I was saving money by grabbing a generic blade set off Amazon for my cordless Wahl. First cut this morning, it pinched a guy's neck so bad he almost jumped out of the chair. I ended up refunding it and shelling out $40 for a proper Wahl Premium blade instead. The difference in smoothness is night and day, no tugging at all. Has anyone else had luck with those budget blade sets or is it always a gamble?

Oh man, I once bought a "premium" hair dryer on clearance and it sounded like a jet engine taking off. Scared my dog so bad she hid under the couch for an hour. Ended up just using the old one that only blows warm air.

Tell me, did you ever figure out what was actually wrong with that "premium" dryer or was it just cheap junk in a fancy box... Cause I've had way too many gadgets that looked great but just couldn't do the simple job right.
