Vent: My tomato plants snapped in half during a windstorm last Tuesday

I had them tied to stakes but the wind came from a weird angle and just broke them at the base. Should I try to prop them back up with splints or just call it a loss and replant?

That's rough, sorry about your tomatoes, I had the same thing happen a few years ago and it's a bummer.

Took me three seasons to realize staking actually makes them weaker against strong wind.
