Why does nobody talk about how gaming chairs are actually bad for your back

I switched to a $50 mesh office chair from Staples last month after my fancy racing style gaming chair left me with constant lower back pain. Three years ago I was convinced those bucket seat designs were the best thing ever for long sessions. But after trying both, I think the marketing just got everyone hooked on the look instead of actual comfort. Has anyone else bailed on gaming chairs for something simpler?

Honestly, I have to push back a little here. Ngl, I've had the exact opposite experience. My $400 Secretlab chair has been a lifesaver for my back after years of cheap office chairs that would sag and kill my spine within six months. The bucket seat design keeps my hips in line and stops me from slouching forward, which was my big problem. Tbh, the real issue is that a lot of these gaming chairs are just rebranded cheap crap with flashy colors, not the actual design concept itself.

Wait, are you saying my $30 yard sale chair isn't secretly world-class?
