Our game night group switched to a $10 dice tower and now we can't go back

Last month my buddy brought over this cheap plastic dice tower he found at a garage sale near Portland. We laughed at it, but after using it for one session of D&D, everyone at the table wanted one. The thing just rolls fair, no more dice sliding off the map or landing in the pizza box. We got a second one for $10 off Amazon and now our Wednesday group runs two towers at once. Is this just a novelty thing or do other groups actually stick with dice towers long term? Has anyone else had a cheap accessory completely change how they play?

Quit moving dice by hand, you're just making the game slower and less fun.
