Spent 45 minutes trying to figure out why Plan 9 looked weird on my TV, and it was one button
Put on Plan 9 from Outer Space for movie night at my place in Toledo and the whole thing looked like a soap opera, which honestly made the cardboard tombstones funnier. Turned out my roommate had left the motion smoothing on from watching football, and none of us noticed for three movies straight. Now I gotta ask, does anyone actually check their TV settings before bad movie night or do you just roll with whatever weird look you get?
