Overheard two guys at the dollar store saying they were gonna watch The Toxic Avenger for their first bad movie night and I had to stop them

They were grabbing a 6 pack and some chips talking about how they wanted to find something “so bad it’s good.” I overheard one guy say “I heard the rubber suits look stupid.” I told them to go in with zero expectations and not to pick a version with cleaned up audio. They seemed nervous but excited. Has anyone else run into people about to watch a classic bad movie for the first time and felt the urge to give tips?

3 out of 4 dollar store 6 packs are stale so they already got a rough start. But honestly, you stopped two randos in the middle of a store to give them viewing advice for a movie from 1984? That's a little extra. It's just a dumb movie about a guy in a rubber monster suit, not some rare art film that needs a special setup. Let them watch the cleaned up version with bad audio and figure it out themselves, that's half the fun.
