Spent $12 on a pack of velcro straps and it changed my desk setup completely

My desk cable situation was a mess for like 2 years. Cords everywhere behind my monitor and under the desk. I finally bought a 10 pack of velcro cable ties from Home Depot for $12 and spent 20 minutes bundling everything together. It's not perfect but now I can actually reach the power strip without getting tangled. Anyone else have a cheap fix that made a bigger difference than you expected?

What about using zip ties instead for a cleaner look?

Honestly I used to think velcro was just for kids shoes or whatever but man after trying zip ties once I totally get why people go with velcro instead. I did the zip tie thing on my computer cables a few years back and it was a pain anytime I needed to swap something out. Had to cut them all off with scissors and it left little plastic nubs everywhere. Switched to the wrap around velcro strips last month and it's way easier when I need to add a new cord for my monitor or move my charger to the other side. Do you leave your bundles loose enough to add more cables later or just do a tight wrap?
