Walked into a CRJ-200 after a lightning strike, found static discharge burns on 3 VOR antennas
Out at KAFW last month I pulled the radome off a bird that got hit and the coax connector tips had actually melted together, so I replaced all 3 antennas and the RG-142 runs, re-bonded the ground straps, and ran a full VOR/ILS check with the flight crew watching, has anyone else seen arcing damage travel through the shield instead of the core?
