Spent $190 on a fancy pin crimper and my $25 one does the job better, change my mind
I picked up a ratcheting pin crimper from a tool truck near DFW last month because everyone kept saying the cheap ones crush terminals and ruin the pins, and it felt like the smart buy at the time. Three jobs later it's sitting in my box because it leaves a tiny gap at the seam on 22 gauge wire and I keep going back to the little stamped one I got out of a clearance bin years ago. Did anyone here actually get a real gain out of a high dollar crimper, or did I just pay extra to feel official?
