PSA: A single bent pin on a cannon plug ate 3 hours of my Tuesday
Spent 3 hours chasing an intermittent APU fire loop fault on a King Air last Tuesday at our hangar in Spokane. Swapped the control box, rang out the harness twice, and everything checked clean on the meter. Turned out one pin in the J1 cannon plug was pushed back a hair, only losing contact when the airframe flexed. Pulled the connector body with a pin kit and a flashlight and fixed it in 10 minutes. What is your worst pin pushback story? I need to know I am not the only one who lost half a shift to one stinking pin.
