Warning: open vs enclosed transport for a 2019 Civic from Phoenix to Denver, one of these went way better
I moved last fall and needed my Civic shipped about 800 miles. Went with a broker for an open carrier at $700 and the car showed up 4 days late with a cracked mirror and dust caked inside every seam and vent. My buddy used an enclosed carrier for $1,300 on a similar run and it showed up clean and on the day they promised. I get that enclosed costs more, but the difference in how they handled it was night and day. Is the extra money for enclosed really worth it on a daily driver, or did I just pick a bad broker?
dust caked inside every seam and vent" is basically the free bonus package nobody asked for. But truth is you probably just picked a bad broker, since a decent open carrier wouldn't crack your mirror or show up 4 days late.
